Na hun overwinning in Cervia zetten Bart en Eva de wedstrijd in Kroatië ook op hun naam. Ze winnen de “South Europe Summer Circuit” trofee, 2de zijn Pietro Fantoni & Marinella Gorgatto/Stefano Longhi en 3de Jan Peeters & Nathalie Janssen.

Dear friends,

South European Championship, and four days of friendship association is behind us. I hope you have enjoyed your stay and brought good memories with your from Omisalj and YC Pesja. 

Two days of calm really tested us, but I knew that the good bay of Omisalj will not let us down! And so it happened… On Sunday a light breeze filled up the bay and we were ready to go! Three interesting races had been sailed with many variable results which made it even more interesting.

Janssen/Jacobs & Fantoni/Longhi lead the big struggle for the first place till the last race, with Janssen/Jacobs that took it all in the end, congratulations!

The memorial Sergio Michel also went to the winners Janssen/Jacobs.

This year the Summer Circuit Trophy has been presented for the first time and we were honoured that the South Europeans in Omisalj has been chosen to take part of the trophy together with famous Piada.

With the wins at Piada and in Omisalj, Bart Janssen and Eva Jacobs took the Summer Circuit Trophy as well; congratulations again!

After more than 30 years Croatian National Championship has been again held with four Croatian crews at starting line. The new National Champions are the Grego brothers who convincingly took the title. Unfortunately for them the OCS from first race took them 3rd place at the South European’s. Anyhow well done guys!

The unpredictable weather left us time for “land activities” which I hope you enjoyed? We did! For those who where there I hope you remember the famous fridge which was under a huge pressure these days but manage to survive J The numbers are not to be mentioned but I will again say congratulations!
